Approaching France 丨The Fifth Issue: "Ten Years of Studying and Living in France"

(Correspondent Wu Yuanyuan Zhang Yanfei) In order to broaden the international vision of the students of the Sino-foreign cooperative study program and help them understand the information related to studying in France comprehensively and precisely, the office of Sino-foreign cooperative study in the School of Electronic Engineering invited Chen Yijun, an alumnus of the 2006 class of our university, to hold two lectures entitled "Ten Years of Study Life in France" on February 17 and 22 on North and South Campus, which nearly 400 students attended.

Starting with "Why study in France", Chen Yijun shared his experience of developing international vision, exploring the advantages and frontier direction of electronic engineering, understanding transnational culture, and other aspects, including study abroad programs, scholarship application, PhD application, international student entrepreneurship, etc.

After that, Chen Yijun discussed how to quickly adjust to a new life abroad. He said that to truly integrate into the changing environment and culture, you have to be three "brave". Firstly, you have to be brave to express yourself, listen more, speak more and practice more, and constantly improve your French and communication skills; Secondly, you have to be courageous to explore, to stimulate your interest and grow in the international electronic information field; Thirdly, you should be brave to innovate, enhance your innovation consciousness and entrepreneurial ability, and jointly explore new ways of cultural interchange between China and France.

In the final exchange session, Chen Yijun gave detailed answers to the students' concerns about the overview of France, school selection, application process and life abroad.

The purpose of this sharing activity is to build a bridge to pass on the experience of the Sino-French Cooperation Program, to give the students of the program a clearer understanding of the French higher education system, to listen to the stories and experiences of the seniors studying in France, and to provide inspiration for students to study in France.
